Deck Sanded and Stained — Twin Bridges, MT

A deck in Twin Bridges that had gone gray and rough from the sun. We sanded it back to clean wood, blew off the dust, and put down a penetrating stain so the boards shed water through the winter instead of soaking it up. Decks in southwest Montana need this about every two to three years depending on how much sun they get. Fall is the right time to do it: the wood is dry and the stain cures before the snow. If your deck is gray, splintering, or water sits on it instead of beading up, that is the sign. We also replace soft boards, loose rails and rotted stair stringers while we are there.
