WHAT WE COME OUT FOR
Cedar fence. Privacy, picket, or something to keep the dog in. Posts set below frost, concrete, and rails that stay where we put them.
Fence on a retaining wall. Common in Uptown and it is not the same job as fence on flat ground. The wall has to carry it and the posts have to tie in right.
Decks. New builds, rebuilds, and replacing the boards on a frame that is still good. Stairs, rails and skirting.
Porches and repairs. Rotten posts, sagging stairs, loose rails, boards that have gone soft. We can usually fix it for less than a rebuild, and we will tell you when we cannot.

Wind and frost are what kill fences here. Posts that were not set deep enough heave, and three winters later the whole run is leaning. We set them below frost line and we do not cut that corner, because we are the ones who get the call when it moves.
