Cedar Fence — Walkerville, MT

The old fence in Walkerville was thrown together by a previous owner and the wind finally laid it down. We pulled the wreck with the dump trailer, set new posts, and built the line again in cedar — rails, pickets, and a gate that will take the Montana winters. Not a fancy fence. A straight one that stays up.

Update, fall 2026: we built this fence in May and came back in October to stain it once the cedar had dried out over the summer. New cedar should sit a few months before stain so it soaks in instead of peeling. The last two photos show it stained.
