Bunkhouse Renovation — Cardwell, MT

This Cardwell bunkhouse began as a garage, then was converted to one large room, a kitchen, and a bathroom in the ’70s and reworked in the ’90s. The walls were hard old plaster — the kind that fights every fastener and does not take new drywall without a fight. We framed a bedroom and a laundry room out of the big open space, and rebuilt the kitchen and bathroom except the tub. Demo, framing, drywall, paint, and trim were all done by this crew, start to finish, until the rooms were ones you can live in.

Before-and-after pairs come first in the photos below, then the finished rooms, then progress shots from during the job.
